This was one of the earliest “New Generation” styles to come out of South Africa. The Bot River is the hotbed of creativity for this gang and Niels is definitely the pied piper. Before you even flip the crown cap used to seal the wine in place of a cork or screwcap you can help but notice the packaging screams “I am different”. But, the wine is not CRAZY!! Apart from Crazy Good! It is robust yet assured, fresh and not flighty and relentlessly engaging. Golden, floral, tropical with a mineral seam.
