Chile is a great source for wines at a reasonable price. They have entry level wines sewn up as being consistently clean and fresh. So when you jump up a level the quality quadruples rather than is a “bit better”. Riesling is loved by the wine trade for it’s versatility , breadth of style , ageing potential and food friendliness. At the same time it is lamented by the general public as one-dimensional, sweet and best left in the past. Well, you are wrong people! I’m kind of saying that whilst blowing you a raspberry because this is one of my friday night faves just for drinking. Handpicked from an organic, sustainable vineyard 500m above sea level in the Bio Bio valley it is raised entirely in stainless steel to preserve it’s limey, flinty freshness. The palate is broad and gentle with passionflower, acacia and green mango. Grippy, lively and generous.
