Muret Syrah, France

The Languedoc is quite a melting pot of wine production. Grape growing is relatively easy and beyond well established. However this doesn’t always add up to a great bottle of wine. There is a load of really cheap, really average wine from down there that gives it somewhat of a bad rep. Not so here. This is a cracking Syrah, plump, spicy, smooth but also carries a little violet/lavender note that keeps it fresh.
