Beaumont is a family run winery in Bot River who make wines which reflect the land and the vineyards where a hands-off approach is paramount. In the winery the approach is hands-on where old and new cellar techniques rub shoulders. ‘Hope Marguerite’ is made from fruit from two of the oldest Chenin vineyards. It is bursting with pure Chenin, ripe orchard fruit characters. It is generous, honeyed and tarte-tatin-esq thanks to fermentation in old oak followed by 10 months aged in old oak barrels on its lees.
