The Cantine Nicosia wines were amongst the first post-lockdown tastings, we were all craving the new, searching for wines with personality and a bit of something exotic. Several months down the line the Etna Bianco and Rosso still go above and beyond the mark, they are unique, classy and downright delicious wines from a family-run producer which has become one of the most important in the Mount Etna area.

Etna Bianco is made from the best fruit from Nicosia’s organically farmed sites at 700m altitude in an extinguished volcano crater, pretty cool huh! The volcanic soils burtsing with minerals contribute to the remarkable nature of the wines from the area. The final product, after fermentation and a short maturation in tonneaux, is a wine of purity, rich in flavour and aroma with stone fruits, nuts and a hint of spice.
